Your hands in clay.
Your instructor on screen.
Gusiku Kunaca ships a complete clay kit to your door, then joins you live on Zoom. Small groups of six or fewer mean your instructor actually sees your work and responds to it in the moment.
How a class actually works
From registration to finished piece, here is the full picture.
Choose your session
Browse the schedule and pick a class that fits your week. Each session has a clear skill level and project focus so you know exactly what you are signing up for.
Your kit arrives
A few days before class, a box lands on your doorstep. Inside: everything you need for two projects. Clay, tools, a small sponge, wire cutter, and a written guide. Nothing to source, nothing to guess at.
Join the live session
Log into Zoom at the scheduled time. Your instructor walks the group through each step. Because the class stays at six or fewer, they can actually watch your hands and say "try pressing a little less there."
Finish and keep your work
Air-dry clay pieces cure at room temperature over the following days. Once dry, you can paint, seal, or leave them natural. Your work stays with you.
"Every material you need for two full projects is packed in a single box. Open it. Set up at your kitchen table. You are already ready."

You do not need a pottery background
Complete beginners
Sessions are designed from the ground up to welcome people who have never touched clay. The instructor starts with the basics and moves at a pace that keeps everyone on board.
Returning hobbyists
If you tried pottery years ago and want to pick it back up, a structured session with materials already sorted is a straightforward way back in. No studio membership required.
Groups and gift-givers
A shared class works well as a group activity. Kits can be shipped to multiple addresses, so a group of friends joining from different cities can still work together in the same session.
What people ask before booking
No experience is needed. Classes are structured so that a complete beginner can follow along from the first minute. The instructor explains each technique before demonstrating it, then guides the group through it step by step. If you have some background in hand-building, you will still find the sessions engaging because the small group size allows for more nuanced feedback.
Kits are shipped several days before the scheduled class date to allow for standard delivery times across the continental US. You will receive a tracking number by email so you can follow the package. If you are concerned about timing for any reason, reach out at [email protected] and we can look at the options together.
Because the live format is central to how the class works, a missed session cannot be replicated exactly. That said, please contact us if something unexpected comes up. Depending on availability, there may be options to join a future session with the same materials. We handle these situations individually rather than through a fixed policy.
No kiln is needed. The kit uses air-dry clay, which hardens naturally at room temperature over a day or two. Once fully dry, pieces can be painted with acrylic paint and sealed if you want a more finished look. This makes the whole process genuinely home-friendly without any specialist equipment.
Yes. If you want to continue practicing between sessions, the clay type and tool set used in the kit are standard items available at most craft stores. We are happy to share the specific product names if you contact us. Some students find it useful to have extra clay on hand to experiment after the live session ends.
With six or fewer students, the instructor can keep each participant's work in view throughout the session. Rather than giving general tips to the whole group, they can address what is actually happening on your screen. If your clay is cracking or a wall is too thin, they will notice and respond directly. It is closer to a private lesson dynamic than a lecture.
Studio address
